There are municipal, church, and private cemeteries. Municipal cemeteries, which are managed by local authorities, are usually large and offer space for a variety of burial types, while church cemeteries are often characterized by their long tradition and close connection to the respective parish.
My hometown of Hamburg is home to what I consider to be the largest and most beautiful park cemetery in the world. For this reason, I am dedicating a separate section to it.
In many parts of the world, such as the United States, cemeteries are often designed to resemble parks, with expansive lawns and modern monuments. These sites frequently offer a variety of burial options, including traditional ground burials, urn interments, and innovative concepts such as memorial forests.
